Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true!

Sometimes I Lie

Okay so I told you all that I was basically better just one post ago...well, that doesn't seem to be all that true. Actually I seem to have something different now but I'm it's worst. I have no voice, my throat is killing me, and I am still blowing my nose. I'm very afraid that I may have bronchitis which I have more often than I should. I hate being sick.

Movies

Today I have been having my own personal movie day. I was very busy yesterday so I thought it'd be fun to just sit around here all day and watch movie after movie. Here's what I watched so far: 13 Going On 30

and Mean Girls

Interestingly enough these movies came out at the same time and mean girls actually did better at the box office because they both aimed at the same age group but Lindsay had bigger pull than Jennifer.

WELL

JUST IN CASE ANYONE IS CHECKING...I'M NOT SICK ANY MORE. I'M STILL BLOWING MY NOSE BUT THAT'S IT. ALL BETTER OTHER THAN THAT. I DON'T KNOW WHY I WROTE THIS IN ALL CAPS. I THINK IT'S CAUSE THE CAPS LOCK WAS ON AND SO I JUST WENT WITH IT. ALSO IT WAS HARD TO NOT HIT SHIFT AT THE BEGINNING OF SENTENCES AND FOR I. I DID IT A FEW TIMES AND HAD TO GO BACK SO IT DIDN'T LOOK LIKE i. I LIKE CAPS LOCK. I FORGET TO USE IT THOUGH. USUALLY IF I'M GONNA MAKE A WHOLE WORD IN CAPITAL LETTERS I JUST HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY. I MEAN IT'S USUALLY JUST LIKE 4 OR FIVE LETTERS ANYWAY. CAPS LOCK SEEMS LIKE A WASTE. ALSO I DON'T KNOW WHY I TYPED 4 AND THEN WROTE OUT FIVE. I DO THAT A LOT I NOTICED WHEN WRITING TWO NUMBERS. THERE'S NO REASON THAT I'M AWARE OF. STRANGE. IT IS, HOWEVER, MORE PROPER TO ACTUALLY WIRTE IT OUT THAN JUST TO TYPE THE NUMBER. LIKE IF THIS WERE SOME IMPORTANT DOCUMENT THAT THE PRESIDENT OR SOMEONE WAS GOING TO LOOK AT. I PROBABLY WOULD ALSO NOT HAVE WRITTEN GONNA EARLIER OR WRITTEN THE WHOLE THING IN CAPS IF THE PRESIDENT WAS GOING TO READ IT THOUGH. OH WELL.

Snakes on a Plane

Sometime this year, there will be a movie, starring Samuel L. Jackson, called SNAKES ON A PLANE. Here is the IMDb entry. Here are some production stills. Here is a brief interview with Samuel L. Jackson:
Beaks: One of those films that you’re working on right now is... well, it’s called "Pacific Air 121"—
Jackson: Snakes on a Plane, man!
Beaks: Exactly.
Jackson: We’re totally changing that back. That’s the only reason I took the job: I read the title.
Beaks: Snakes on a Plane! That’s everything!
Jackson: You either want to see that, or you don’t.
And there's not even a tv trailer out yet, but there are already [two] [t-shirts] people made, the second care of this comic.
This is gonna be the movie with the most snakes on a plane, ever!
Also, some people are already trying to turn it into a slang term. Snakes on a plane!

The only movie that might be better than Snakes on a Plane? UNICEF's movie depicting the aerial bombardment of Smurf Village. What?!!
It opens with the Smurfs dancing, hand-in-hand, around a campfire and singing the Smurf song. Bluebirds flutter past and rabbits gambol around their familiar village of mushroom- shaped houses until, without warning, bombs begin to rain from the sky.
Tiny Smurfs scatter and run in vain from the whistling bombs, before being felled by blast waves and fiery explosions. The final scene shows a scorched and tattered Baby Smurf sobbing inconsolably, surrounded by prone Smurfs.
"We wanted something that was real war - Smurfs losing arms, or a Smurf losing a head -but they said no."

Jack Handey and God

If you ever drop your keys into a river of molten lava, forget em', cause, man, they're gone. -Jack Handey

Pastor Mark actually used this in a sermon. How rad is that? Yeah I said rad...I'm bringin' it back okay.

Funny Photos

I don't think I need to explain any of these. They are all way funny. I love the one about the edges of the sign being sharp. People are funny. Who makes these signs?

Big Picture

Occasionally I just feel like writing something more significant than I usually do. I mean obviously mario bros is important as well as the topic of pizza but sometimes... I don't know I just feel like being deeper or more creative or both. Earlier today I was just cruising through blogspot and I passed through a blog by a women who started her blog to get out her thoughts of the loss of her son. He apparently was born with some strange condition and didn't live for more than 20hrs but her whole blog was about her daily feelings about it for one year and (stay with me here) it was one of the most up lifting blogs I've ever come across. What? Yes I read that I mean I wrote it and I realize it sounds crazy but it's true. She considered herself to be a pessimist according to her profile but in fact her words were not that way at all. She stood strong in that God would take care of her as well as her dear passed son and her husband whom, according to her blog, took it much harder and his yet to move past it. Maybe he should start a blog. Anyway, why do I post about this stranger up in Canada who lost a child last year? Good question. I guess my answer would be...Often times I find that it's very easy for me to get totally wrapped into myself. I'm slightly aware of those other things that are accuring around me, like my best friend Konni had a bouncing baby boy last monday (Welcome to the world Gabe), but those thoughts are usually passing and the prayers are not the focus of my time. What ever affects my world the most becomes the focus. Reading this girl's blog can help you refocus. Maybe even step back and see a few things. Also it helped me to remember something that I have to reremember again and again in the last month...I Always Have A Choice. It's seems like such a simple idea but to be aware of it all the time is an effort. See, over the last month there have been a number of things going on that I have needed to actively be reminded that You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life. The BIG picture is more important than many of realize or remember. Don't get me wrong...the details are important. If they weren't, then I'd be out of job. The trick is looking and focusing on both at the same time and then balancing it out by piling on the good, the awesome, the friends and family, the encouragement, the humor, and the love.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34.
After all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

nintendo, noice, mario, bad music

I love this kind of stuff. Super funny. Check this out and make sure you have the sound up.

Here's a pretty pretty picture just for you. Wasn't the original nintendo just the best? I mean they can keep upgrading making playstations and adding numbers to xbox (xbox 360) but nothing will ever touch the original nintendo.

BBQs and doves

Last night we had one heck of a BBQ. It was super duper. Thanks to all who helped out. Especially to those of you who helped clean up so we could actually have the BBQ in the first place.
MMM...meat.

I think a pillow should be the peace symbol, not the dove. The pillow has more feathers than the dove, and it doesn't have a beak to peck you with.
